Roger L. Watson founded Watson & Associates in 1960. Roger began helping clients with their taxes, while working from his home. Later he started a second business, an equipment rental company, and began preparing client’s returns from the back office of the equipment rental center. No matter what challenges his clients were facing, Roger had a unique ability to help them through the situation and help them end up in a much better position.
Although Roger had several different businesses throughout his life (e.g. clothing store, recycling center, computer company, retail farm market, construction company, etc.) he found that his tax and advisory services were the most personally rewarding because he loved helping people keep their hard earned money.
Many of Roger’s values are alive and well at Watson & Associates today. He believed in straight talk and being honest with clients. He also understood that hard work created opportunities for those willing to make the sacrifice. His entrepreneurial spirit helps guide us each and every day. Most of all, his deep desire and passion to help clients be successful will always be part of his legacy and the moral fiber of our organization.
